Edmonds Silent Book Club

A massive thank you to everyone who was able to come read with us last night! We had such an amazing turnout once again! I'm always a little nervous now that the next meet-up won't be as big as the last, but every month we grow a little bigger. While it's always great to see familiar faces every month, we had so many new ones last night. So many were at their first Silent Book Club meet-up ever, which is always an honor because there are so many chapters to choose from out here.

I didn't get a massive group photo of all of us reading because I'd just started a new book, and I'd gotten pulled into the weirdness of the story. Which means I forgot I needed to get content on top of reading my book. But, as you can see, I did get a photo of nearly everyone's book! We did have a few people there listening to audiobooks; their books are not in the photo. 

There were a few announcements last night of bookish things happening in the areaish, Puyllap isn't exactly in the neighborhood, but a book fair is a book fair. In order: Sept 11th at Barnard Griffen in Woodinville is doing a Sip and Silent Read, and Sept 14th, Lost the Plot is hosting a book swap and sip at Stoup Brewing in Ballard. Both of those are free events, and you can RSVP at Eventbrite, as well as find out more information on both! Lastly, Bundok Books in Puyallup is hosting a Book Fair at the FCC Puyallup. If you couldn't make it to our meet-up yesterday, never fear, Edmonds Book Club will be back at Leftcraft on September 17th! We'll kick off reading at 7:30, but you are welcome to come early to mingle and eat!
