Waiting on Wednesday

Can't Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Wishful Endings to spotlight and talk about the books we're excited about what we have yet to read. Generally they are books that have yet to be released, but don't have to be. It is based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by the fabulous at Breaking the Spine.

When his traditional Latinx family has problems accepting his gender, Yadriel becomes determined to prove himself a real brujo. With the help of his cousin and best friend Maritza, he performs the ritual himself, and then sets out to find the ghost of his murdered cousin and set it free.

However, the ghost he summons is actually Julian Diaz, the school’s resident bad boy, and Julian is not about to go quietly into death. He’s determined to find out what happened and tie up some loose ends before he leaves. Left with no choice, Yadriel agrees to help Julian, so that they can both get what they want. But the longer Yadriel spends with Julian, the less he wants to let him leave.

Why I'm Waiting: I don't know why, but something about this book just pulls me in. It's really a genre I read often, but this looks like one I'll really like. Little bit of mystery and a little bit of a romance.

HAPPY READING!!

  2. I keep seeing this one, but the title reminds me of a book by Zac Brewer, so not sure. Hope you get it and enjoy it soon!

    1. Thanks! It's not my usual genre that is for sure, but it sounds too good to pass over.
